Presented by: Dr Jordi Marqués Guasch
Host: Dr Andrew Little
Date: 25 September 2025
Time: 1900 Refreshments 1930 Lecture
Location: 134 Mount Merrion Avenue, Belfast, BT6 0FT
This lecture explores the science and strategy behind immediate implant placement, focusing on biological principles, case selection, and clinical techniques. Key topics include bone healing, primary stability, atraumatic extraction, and immediate prosthetic solutions. Attendees will learn evidence-based protocols to minimise complications and enhance esthetic and functional outcomes, ensuring predictable success in modern implantology.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the Biological Principles of Immediate Implant Placement
- Gain insight into the osseointegration process, bone healing dynamics, and soft tissue response in immediate implantology.
- Develop a Strategic Approach for Case Selection and Risk Assessment
- Learn how to evaluate patient-specific factors, including bone quality, soft tissue condition, and occlusal considerations, to determine the suitability of immediate implants.
- Surgical and Prosthetic Techniques for Optimal Outcomes
- Explore step-by-step surgical protocols, implant positioning strategies, and prosthetic considerations to enhance primary stability and long-term success.
- Implement Evidence-Based Protocols to Minimize Complications
- Review the latest clinical research, prevention strategies, and management of complications such as peri-implantitis, implant failure, and esthetic challenges.
