The ADI NextGen committee is a dynamic and vibrant group of dental implant professionals dedicated to addressing the evolving demands of clinicians in the field. With a firm commitment to advancing the profession and fostering its growth, ADI NextGen endeavors to ensure the discipline continues to go from strength to strength.
Members of ADI NextGen are actively engaged in sharing insights and expertise at ADI events across the UK while also organising activities intended to empower new and young implant professionals, providing invaluable support and guidance to emerging practitioners. Dr Ricky Bhopal
Ricky graduated as a dentist from the University of Manchester with BDS Honours in 2014 and was the recipient of the prestigious Charles H Preston prize medal. Ricky attained multiple awards and prizes for achieving; the highest in finals, highest overall student over the 5 year Dentistry course, distinction in case presentations and was also awarded the outstanding academic achievement award for being in the top 0.5% of students at the University of Manchester.
Since qualifying, Ricky has had a range of experience in both dental practices and in hospitals. He worked as an Oral & Maxillofacial Senior House Officer at Northampton General Hospital, where he developed his oral surgery skills. He went on to gain Membership in Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2015. Ricky achieved a Diploma in Endodontology in 2016 before embarking on a 4 year specialist program in the field of prosthodontics at Guy's Hospital/ King's College London.
During his specialism, Ricky developed a passion for providing crowns, bridges, dentures and all aspects of implant dentistry. Ricky graduated from his specialist training with Distinction and is one of the few specialist prosthodontists in the UK who has passed membership with both Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and England. Ricky's commitment to the dental profession is displayed through his enthusiasm for teaching and works as a mentor to young dentists.
Adam Bzeu
After qualifying from dental school in Leeds in 2015, Adam has gone on to complete formal training posts in the UK in both Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry before holding posts as an Oral & Maxillofacial surgery clinical fellow and oral surgery specialty dentist. Since 2021 he has been committed to full time private practice.
Adam works between both Ireland and England and his practice is limited to dental implants and oral/periodontal surgery. His clinical work ranges from routine implant placement to full-arch rehabilitation and complex bone and soft tissue augmentation. He accepts referrals for implant treatments and grafting as well as oral surgical procedures.
He holds a Master’s in Dental Implantology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Periodontics, and is soon to begin a postgraduate course in clinical education. He is also a member of the royal college of surgeons.
Adam has undertaken extensive further training both nationally and internationally completing numerous courses in advanced implant surgery and grafting which is where his passion lies.

Krishan Davda
Krishan qualified as a dentist from the University of Leeds in 2015 and completed vocational training in North West London. He subsequently attained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Following foundation training, he undertook a Dental Core Training post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, before earning a Distinction in the Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry PGCert at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
Alongside his postgraduate studies, Krishan joined Leeds School of Dentistry as a research clinician, contributing to national clinical trials and projects in digital dentistry workflows. He has been involved in studies investigating digital jaw registration, facebow protocols, and the design and fabrication of 3D-printed complete dentures, with a particular focus on integrating digital technologies into removable and fixed prosthodontics.
In clinical practice, Krishan provides comprehensive general dentistry and accepts referrals for removable prosthodontics within a private setting. He has undertaken extensive national and international training in fixed and removable prosthodontics, implant surgery, and full-arch restorative techniques to broaden his clinical expertise.
Dedicated to advancing education within the field, Krishan teaches postgraduate students and general practitioners on topics including occlusion, removable prosthodontics, and digital dentistry workflows. He is currently undertaking specialist training in Prosthodontics at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, with a career focus on combining clinical excellence, research, and education to advance restorative and implant dentistry.
Dr Payvand Menhadji
Payvand is currently undergoing specialist training in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at Guy’s Hospital, London bridge. She dedicates three days per week to managing complex periodontal cases, both surgically and non-surgically, referred by dentists across the London area. She is expected to complete her training in 2025, leading to her admission to the GDC’s Specialist Register. On her other working days, Payvand works in Central and West London with a focus on Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, and has a particular interest in mucogingival surgeries.
Payvand completed Dental Core Training in Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry at Guy’s Hospital and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education. As the mono-specialty representative of the Early Careers Group for the British Society of Periodontology, Payvand actively contributes to her field through research and scholarly writing. Her research focuses on periodontal regeneration, and she has authored several articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr tom murphy
Dr Tom Murphy's implant practice is focussed on more complex aspects of dental implantology, such as guided bone regeneration/block grafting/periodontal soft tissue grafting/ sinus lifts (internal and external) and with a heavy emphasis on full arch implant surgery. Regarding full arch surgery he is very experienced with immediate placement/immediate load surgeries, and is one of the few implant surgeons in Ireland that carries out extra-maxillary pterygoid implants, trans-sinus implants and zygomatic implants.
Dr Tom Murphy was awarded a master’s degree with distinction in clinical implantology from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). Currently Dr Tom is now involved in lecturing for the UCLan Implantology MSc programme as well as lecturing across the UK and Ireland for various organisations, such as the Royal College of Surgeons England and the Association of Dental Implantology. In addition to this Dr Tom is involved with carrying out and publishing dental research.
Dr Tarun Nagpal
Dr Tarun Nagpal is a Specialist Oral Surgeon working across London, Surrey, Kent and Wiltshire in both private practice and hospital as a Consultant. He provides oral surgery and sedation services, with a particular focus on helping anxious patients feel safe and understood. Creating a calm environment and communicating openly are central to his approach.
Tarun graduated from King’s College London before pursuing further training in Oral Surgery, ultimately achieving specialist status. He has completed postgraduate qualifications in primary dental care and dental education, is IACSD accredited in sedation, and is currently studying toward an MSc in Dental Implantology. Alongside his clinical work, he teaches and mentors colleagues, championing supportive and accessible postgraduate learning.
Tarun has been recognised with several awards, including Highly Commended Young Dentist for South East England for several years running, the SAAD Drummond Jackson Prize and Dental Beauty Specialist of the Year. Outside of dentistry, he supports outreach work for healthcare for those suffering from homelessness.

Dr Nidhi Parmar
Nidhi is a Specialist Registrar in Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, where she is undertaking a four-year MClinDent and specialist training. Her clinical practice encompasses advanced restorative dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, management of severe tooth wear, and implant-supported prostheses for partially and fully edentulous patients.
She previously completed hospital training posts within the Oxford University Hospitals, gaining intensive experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, head and neck oncology, and complex trauma. This foundation has shaped her multidisciplinary approach to implant and restorative case planning.
Nidhi has a strong academic and educational profile. She holds a PGCert in Dental Education, has published widely in peer-reviewed national and international journals, and is an invited author for Evidence-Based Dentistry. She has presented prize-winning research at international conferences and serves as a peer reviewer for the British Dental Journal.
Nidhi is passionate about advancing evidence-based implant dentistry through research, education, and specialist clinical practice.

Dr Viraj Patel
Having qualified as a dentist in 2012, Viraj has set out to gain the necessary experience to help become one of the lead Implantologists in the UK for the future. He underwent hospital training in Maxillofacial and Oral surgery in 2014 and has since attended multiple Dental Implant courses within the UK. In 2018 his passion for implants led him to New York City, where he enrolled for 2 years at New York University (NYU), on the renowned Advanced Implant Dentistry Program.
Since moving back to the UK, on completion of the Program, in 2020 he has been working as a dental implantologist in private practices across London. Along the way he has been awarded multiple accolades including "Future Star" prize by the International Team of Implantology in 2021, he was voted "Best Young Implant dentist” in the UK 2022 and in 2023 the “European Prize for Clinical Innovations in Implant Dentistry” as well as winning the award for the best Clinical Case for the “Complex Implant treatment” Category.
He is a key opinion leader for some of the leading implant companies within the UK including (Geistlich, Biohorizons, Zimvie and Sweden&Martina) and is now lecturing and presenting internationally.
He also sits on the board of notable Junior Implant Organisation committees including The NextGen Committee with the Association for Dental Implantology (ADI) UK and the Junior Committee for the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO).
His passion within implant dentistry lies in Regenerative Implant dentistry including Bone and Soft tissue Augmentation.

Dr REsham Pindoria
Dr Pindoria graduated from the University of Leeds with Distinction in Dental Surgery, where she was a recipient of several academic awards.
She is currently studying medicine at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, working towards becoming dual-qualified with the goal of entering specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr Pindoria has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry and is actively placing and restoring implants in clinical practice. She works as a Senior Clinical Fellow in OMFS at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital, gaining broad surgical experience across trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, orofacial infections and orthognathic surgery. She also has a keen interest in guided implant surgery and bone augmentation, with a focus on predictable, evidence based treatment planning.
She additionally has advanced training in facial aesthetics, including the use of botulinum toxin for managing myofascial temporomandibular disorders, enabling her to provide holistic and comprehensive care to her patients.
With a strong academic interest, she has presented nationally and internationally, actively contributes to audit and research within OMFS, and continues to expand her surgical and implantology portfolio.

Dr Salman Pirmohamed
Dr Salman Pirmohamed is a Specialist Prosthodontist based in London, with a clinical focus on both the surgical and prosthodontic management of patients within implant dentistry. He provides comprehensive implant care ranging from single-tooth replacements to full-arch rehabilitations. His passion lies in patient-centred care planning, ensuring that implant treatment is carried out for the right patient, in the right way.
In addition to private practice at the London Centre for Prosthodontics, Salman is an Associate Clinical Lecturer at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, where he teaches on the MClinDent Prosthodontics programme. He is also Co-Director of Art Dental Academy, delivering implant restorative training through the RESTORE Course, and serves as a visiting lecturer for postgraduate implant programmes in the UK and abroad.
Salman has undertaken implant training across multiple settings—including mentorship in practice, university-based programmes, and private education—each offering unique perspectives and value. Through his involvement on the ADI Next Gen Board, he hopes to support clinicians in developing confidence and progressing along their own individual pathways within implant dentistry.
Dr Jaimini VadGama
Jaimini qualified with Honours from King’s College London Dental Institute in 2012. During her foundation training she gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Dental Care from the University of Kent alongside passing membership examinations for the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. She gained her MSc in Implant Dentistry from the University of Warwick in 2017 and is currently undertaking an LLM in Medical Law and Ethics at the University of Edinburgh.
Jaimini has a broad general practice providing general dentistry with a special interest in digital and laser dentistry as well as facial aesthetics and comprehensive orthodontics. She is a part of the core teaching faculty and Digital Module Lead at Brighton and Sussex Medical School on the MSc in Dental Reconstructive Implant Surgery and was closely involved in the development and teaching of the pilot module on Emerging Technologies.
She is deeply invested in digital dentistry and its application in everyday dental practice within implantology, orthodontics and smile design. She has significant experience in implementing fully digital workflows for guided implantology, in-house production of surgical guides, orthodontic aligners and one-visit CEREC implant restorations.
Jaimini is passionate about promoting digital and implant dentistry and inspiring, mentoring and engaging women to excel in these fields where women are still underrepresented.
Dr Jit Vaghela
Dr Jit qualified as a dental surgeon in 2009 from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Dental Institute in London. Dr Jit completed his formal Implant training in 2017, and has achieved a Master’s Degree in Clinical Implantology.
Dr Jit has enjoyed over 12 years doing all aspects of clinical dentistry, and since 2020, has limited his clinical practice to Implant Dentistry only. Dr Jit has been placing and restoring implants for over 10 years, and has a keen interest in guided implant surgery.
Dr Jit has previously been an Educational Supervisor for Health Education England and currently teaches and mentors on the Smile Dental Academy Postgraduate Diplomas in Implant Dentistry and also Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry on all aspects of Implant dentistry.
Dr Jit is also a Director of the Smile Clinic Group.
