Join your Regional Host for the North East of England, Dr Kareem Siddiqui, and Speaker, Dr Yusuf Alshafi, for the launch of our exciting new Study Club for the North East England region.
The evening will be focussing on immediate implant placements which has become a widely accepted technique, evolving from traditional delayed protocols due to advancements in surgical methods and implant design. This approach offers several advantages, including reduced treatment time, preservation of bone and soft tissue architecture, and improved patient outcomes. Successful implementation relies on strict protocols involving case selection, atraumatic extraction, and achieving primary stability. In the molar region, immediate implants are classified based on available septal bone, which guides placement strategy. Techniques such as Dual Zone grafting enhance tissue preservation, while customised healing abutments are essential for shaping soft tissue and supporting optimal esthetic and functional results.
Learning objectives (C)
• Understand the clinical indications, advantages, and evolution of immediate implant placement.
• Learn and apply the key protocols for successful immediate implant placement, including atraumatic extraction and achieving primary stability.
• Identify the classification of immediate implants in the molar region based on anatomical and bone considerations.
• Evaluate the clinical benefits of Dual Zone grafting and customised healing abutments in supporting soft tissue healing and long-term outcomes.
