With more and more digital systems being employed both in lab and surgery it is easy to presume that digital just works. So when problems occur it can be very frustrating. I aim to show the ways we use CAD/CAM technology in our daily production and the steps we take to ensure accuracy not only of the final prostheses but more importantly the interoral scans and models produced by the scans.

Learning Objectives:

  • To gain understanding of common problems with interoral scans
  • To gain a real solution to verify both scans and printed or milled models
  • To gain an overview of when and where to employ the latest materials
  • To gain an overview of the latest CAD software
  • To gain an understanding of how to improve the synergy between lab and surgery
