Meet the Board - Faresh Desai

Dr Faresh Desai has been elected as Regional Rep for West Central England on the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) Board. He shares a little bit about himself, his experience with the ADI, and his advice for other clinicians:

“I have been a member of the ADI for over 15 years, attending conferences, courses, and masterclasses. I can honestly say that being a member has been an integral part of my implant journey. Aside from the educational development that the ADI has provided me by way of the annual conferences and events, it has also allowed me to forge friendships and professional relationships over the years. All of which are important when considering the business and practise of this field of dentistry.

“It has always been an organisation that I wanted to be a part of based on my experience over the years. By becoming a member of the board, I’m excited to be able to give something back to the ADI and support them in continuing to bring an immense amount of value, support, and expertise to the implant community in the UK.

“My top tips for those who want to provide dental implants would be to surround yourself with like-minded clinicians, learn from the best, stay focussed, and fully immerse yourself in implant dentistry. That is the only way I truly believe you will see progress.

“It is essential for anyone involved in implant dentistry to belong to an organisation like the ADI, in my opinion. It brings together clinicians from all levels of experience and the fact that the ADI offers opportunities for education, networking, and mentorship is invaluable.”
