More than 300 Fellowship Pathway applications received

Since launching the ADI Fellowship Pathway earlier this year, more than 300 members have applied to upgrade their Fellowship Tier, of which 150 have been approved.

The four-tier pathway was introduced to recognise members' experience, training and contribution to implant dentistry, while providing a clear framework for professional progression. All ADI members are assigned Tier 1 (Associate Member) on joining and can apply to progress to Tier 2, 3 or 4 when they meet the relevant criteria.

The strong response from members demonstrates the appetite for meaningful recognition of expertise and progression within implant dentistry. The pathway was developed following consultation with ADI members, with 89% of 130 implant dentists surveyed supporting the introduction of a Fellowship designation.

Importantly, progression through the pathway is designed to reflect genuine experience and achievement. The highest tier, Fellow (Tier 4), also requires peer-reviewed publications, audit projects and successful completion of the ADI Fellowship Examination. The first tranche of Tier 4 assessments is set to take place later this year.

Progression does not involve an additional annual membership fee, although Tier 4 applicants are required to pay a fee to cover the cost of the examination
