Abstract

Welcome to the ADI Next Gen Roadshow, which will be taking place in Birmingham, London and Liverpool.

We are excited to offer an engaging and comprehensive introduction to the world of dental implantology. This course is meticulously designed for dental professionals early on in their implant dentistry journey, combining foundational theories with hands-on practical applications to ensure a robust learning experience.

Participants will begin with an introduction to dental implants, gaining a clear understanding of their components and the critical steps involved in treatment planning. The course covers the fundamental surgical principles necessary for dental implant placement, including practical workshops focused on implant bed preparation and ridge preservation, ensuring participants gain hands-on experience in these essential techniques.

In addition to surgical training, the course delves into the principles of implant prosthetics. Participants will explore abutment selection and prosthesis design through interactive sessions, including taking implant fixture impressions and intraoral scans, bridging the gap between theory and practice. The curriculum also provides insights into various training pathways available for further advancement in implant dentistry.

Learning Objectives

1. Introduction to Dental Implants: Provide a basic understanding of dental implants and their components.

2. Treatment Planning Essentials: Familiarize participants with the essential steps of treatment planning for dental implants.

3. Surgical Fundamentals: Introduce basic surgical principles and techniques for dental implant placement.

4. Prosthetic Principles: Explain fundamental concepts of implant prosthetics and restoration.

5. Implant Training pathways: To explore variety of different possibilities for implant training

6. Define Dental Implants:Participants will be able to define what dental implants are and identify their main components.

7. Understand Treatment Planning:Participants will learn the steps involved in treatment planning for dental implants, including patient assessment and treatmentsequencing.

8. Learn Surgical Basics: Participants will grasp basic surgical techniques for dental implant placement, including site preparation and implant insertion. This will include hands on workshops on basic implant bed preparation and ridge preservation.

9. Comprehend Prosthetic Principles: Participants will understand the basic concepts of implant prosthetics, including abutment selection and prosthesis design. This will also incorporate a hands on workshop on taking implant fixture impressions and intra oral scans

10. Investigate different possibilities for implant training pathways for people early in their implant career.

 

 

Location

By Tube

Nearest tube stations are London Bridge or Borough both within 5 minutes. This gives easy access from the Northern, Jubilee Lines. Upon exit from the tube follow the signs for Borough High Street
