Meet the Board - Kasia Gurzawska-Comis

Dr Kasia Gurzawska-Comis is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the University of Liverpool, with an interest in multidisciplinary approaches to patient care and dental implantology. On her journey within the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), Dr Gurzawska-Comis reflects:

“I joined the ADI in 2021 after participating in one of their excellent Masterclasses. Since then I have attended numerous events, chaired sessions, and lectured at national and regional meetings. Working alongside the ADI’s management team made me realise that I would like to bring more to this dynamic association.”

As the recently elected Academic / Education Rep on the ADI Board, she now has the opportunity to do so:

“I wish to develop an evidence-based educational platform for both dentists just starting their journey with dental implants and those who have years of experience but may wish to train or educate other colleagues.”

For some top tips for implant dentists, Dr Gurzawska-Comis suggests:

"Keep updating your knowledge with the latest scientific findings, share your experiences with your peers, and encourage them to do the same. The ADI is also there to listen, adapt and improve your experience.”
